3 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari
Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s most visited national park. Your 3 days wildlife safari will take you to the famous park, situated in the Western region. Queen Elizabeth is a home to over 600 bird species, and 95 mammal species including; the Uganda kob, African buffalo, African bush elephant, African leopard, lion, Nile crocodiles, hippos, and chimps. The Kazinga channel, volcanic cones and deep craters, lakes Albert and George, are some of the attractions found in the park.

Your safari will begin when you embark on a drive to the Western region of Uganda – the location of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will make a brief stop at the equator, to take photographs at the monuments, do a couple of experiments and visit the souvenir shop in the area. You will have lunch in Mbarara town and arrive at the park in the late afternoon. You will go for a birding excursion in any of the park’s renowned birding spots. Queen Elizabeth is a habitat to over 600 bird species.
The day will begin with a game drive through any of the park’s demarcated game viewing tracks; Kasenyi, the north Kazinga plains and Ishasha region. You will sight numerous wildlife; buffaloes, hippos, warthogs, antelopes, elephants and baboons. While driving through Ishasha, you will spot the famous tree-climbing lions lazily stretched out in massive tree branches. Later in the day, you will go for a boat cruise on Kazinga channel.
At the climax of your safari, you will go for a chimpanzee trekking excursion in Kyambura gorge. The 1-3 hours excursion will give you a chance to encounter a habituated chimpanzee family and a myriad number of wildlife species. You will also explore the bat caves in Maramagambo forest. Before the evening sets in, you will embark on your journey back to Kampala.
